This is a destination wedding

We're getting married at Highlands Ranch Resort. It's nestled up in the pine trees of the Sierra Nevada mountain range; just over an hours drive outside of Chico, CA. It's about 20 miles West of Lake Almanor and 10 miles from the South entrance of Lassen National Forest.

We recommend you make a trip out of it and spend the whole weekend in the area. Below is a list of options we recommend.

Mill Creek Resort – 4.2 miles

We reserved all the cabins at this place just in case, please call them at (530) 595-4449 and mention our names. Traditional mountain cabins, these are the perfect cabins if you prefer to have a bit more room than a hotel or tent. There are 11 cabins ranging from 1 to 2 bedrooms, and all include a dining an kitchen area.

Best Western Rose Quartz Inn – 22 miles

Located in the city of Chester, this hotel is just minutes away from the beautiful lake Almanor where you can enjoy a dip in the water or a stroll among the pines the morning of the wedding or the day after. Don’t be intimated by the distance from the hotel to the wedding site, it is beautifu. There are 10 rooms reserved under the name Kristin Leib.

The Village at Childs Meadow – 0 miles

No joke, if you’re outdoorsy, we recommend renting an RV or bring your camping gear and setup a tent. This place is located literally right across the street from the wedding venue in an woodsy RV/Camp site. Get one with nature! Below is a link to their website for more info.

Antlers Motel – 20 miles

“The cutest little thing in Chester”.  Newly completed in 2008, the Antlers Motel boasts the best location in Chester and truly inviting decor.  Each room features a modern lodge theme with decorative fireplaces, warm woodsy coverlets, wrought iron headboards and more… and, of course, free in-room coffee (or tea), refrigerators, and satellite TV.
